Job Title: PR Manager
Type: Freelance-to-Hire (40 hrs/week)
Start: ASAP (January–February 2026 preferred)
Length: 6 months with possible conversion
Location: Denver, CO metro office (no remote or hybrid)
Compensation: Up to $50/hr DOE
A publicly-traded telecommunications leader (video services, satellite TV, and wireless) is rebuilding its corporate communications team and is seeking two seasoned PR Managers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own B2C external PR strategy across video, broadband, and mobile consumer products
- Lead crisis communications and rapid-response in a highly regulated, consumer-facing environment
- Manage internal communications for a workforce of thousands of field technicians, install crews, retail locations, and call centers spread nationwide
- Partner tightly with Brand Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, and an in-house creative agency
- Drive proactive storytelling and reputation turnaround in a post-layoff growth phase
Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These)
- 6+ years of PR/comms experience with heavy B2C focus
- Direct experience in telecommunications, satellite TV, video services, or mobile/cellular consumer PR
- Proven background at companies with large, geographically dispersed operations and field/install crews (think nationwide truck rolls vs. HQ-centric)
- Battle-tested crisis and internal comms skills in regulated industries (telecom, energy, utilities, consumer tech)
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in the Denver metro area
You’ll Stand Out If You…
- Are currently or recently at Comcast, Charter/Spectrum, Verizon, DirecTV, AT&T, Cox, or similar — especially if impacted by upcoming restructurings
- Have managed consumer PR through network outages, service launches, or billing controversies
- Bring established relationships with national tech/telecom reporters
- Have experience rebuilding public perception after large-scale layoffs
This is a freelance to hire position must be onsite on Denver, CO. Multiple junior and mid-level PR/Comms roles are also available with the same onsite and industry requirements.
